Meet Allan

Portrait of Allan

Owner

For Allan, Guardian is much more than a home care business—it’s a reflection of a dream he and his wife, Sonya, shared from the beginning: to provide quality care while treating every client with the dignity, respect, and kindness they deserve.

Having cared for two of his grandparents in his own home, Allan understands firsthand how meaningful it is to have someone you can trust when a loved one needs help. His experience as a caregiver has also taught him that, in home care, clients often become like family. Having experienced caregiving from both sides, Allan brings a unique perspective to helping families navigate the challenges of caring for a loved one at home. He also takes an active role in training Guardian’s caregivers, sharing the knowledge and compassion he has gained through his own experiences.

Even today, Allan enjoys visiting Guardian clients, hearing their stories, and building genuine relationships with the people and families he serves.

One of Allan’s favorite parts of his work is meeting people who are considering home care and sharing the Guardian story with them. He welcomes the opportunity to sit down, listen, answer questions, and help families explore whether Guardian might be the right fit for their needs.

When he’s not working, Allan enjoys life with Sonya, traveling, spending time outdoors hunting, and making memories with family. He is also a lifelong lover of music and enjoys both listening to and playing music.

For Allan, caring for people has always been personal. That same heart for people is at the center of Guardian today.

Meet Sonya

Portrait of Sonya

Owner

Sonya has been an important part of Guardian from the beginning, bringing warmth, compassion, and a genuine heart for people to everything she does. She wears many hats at Guardian, and she approaches each one with care and dedication.

Sonya has also experienced the privilege of being a caregiver herself. She cared for a special woman living with dementia, and that experience taught her that meaningful caregiving is about much more than completing daily tasks. Together, they baked bread and desserts, learned new songs, and even danced a few times. These simple moments became special memories and reminded Sonya of the importance of meeting each person where they are, finding joy in the little things, and taking the time to truly connect.

Behind the scenes, Sonya helps ensure that Guardian’s office runs smoothly and that our work reflects the high standards we have set for ourselves. But for Sonya, the most meaningful part of Guardian is the people—the clients, families, and caregivers she has the opportunity to know and support.

Outside of Guardian, Sonya enjoys spending quality time with her family, traveling, and making memories with the people she loves. Her genuine love for people and her personal experience as a caregiver are a meaningful part of what she brings to Guardian every day.

Meet Heidi

Portrait of Heidi

Billing and Payroll Specialist

Heidi is Guardian’s Billing and Payroll Specialist and plays an important role in keeping the behind-the-scenes details of our organization running smoothly. She oversees billing, payroll, and company spending with a careful eye for accuracy and a commitment to making sure things are handled correctly.

While much of Heidi’s work happens behind the scenes, the people she helps are at the heart of what she does. She understands that questions about a paycheck or an invoice can sometimes be confusing or stressful, and she is always willing to take the time to listen, answer questions, and help find a solution.

Heidi works closely with both our caregivers and clients, helping ensure that payroll and billing are handled accurately and efficiently. Her attention to detail, reliability, and willingness to help make her an important part of the Guardian team.

Registered Nurses (RN)

Our Registered Nurses bring professional expertise and compassionate, personal care directly into the homes of the people we serve. They take the time to get to know each client, understand their individual needs, and develop personalized care plans that support their health, independence, and quality of life.

Our RNs provide skilled nursing care, administer treatments, monitor changes in health, and help clients and families feel confident managing medical needs at home. They also provide education and guidance on medications, medical equipment, and care routines, while working closely with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure everyone is working together.

Most importantly, our nurses understand that caring for someone at home is personal. They build relationships, listen to concerns, and treat each client with dignity, respect, and kindness. Their knowledge and experience, combined with a genuine heart for people, make them an important part of the Guardian family.

Nursing Assistants and Nursing Assistants-Registered (NA, NAR)

Our Nursing Assistants are often the familiar faces and trusted companions our clients see throughout their time with Guardian. They play an important role in helping clients remain comfortable, safe, and independent in their own homes. More than simply assisting with daily needs, our Nursing Assistants take the time to get to know each client, build meaningful relationships, and bring kindness and compassion to the care they provide.

Guardian provides training and ongoing education to help our Nursing Assistants continually develop their skills and stay current with best practices in home care. We believe that excellent care comes from combining knowledge and skill with patience, understanding, and a genuine desire to make a difference in someone’s day.

We are proud of the dedication our Nursing Assistants bring to Guardian every day. Their dependability, compassion, and personal connection with our clients are a big part of what makes the Guardian experience special—and what helps us deliver our Gold Standard in Home Health Care.
